Eighth edition of this work on surgery by the French anatomist and obstetrics surgeon P. Dionis (1643-1718). Illustrated with an engr. author's portrait, 1 frontispiece (amphiteater lesson), 16 plates (2 fold.) and 61 in texto woodcuts. "Dionis taught operative surgery at the Jardin-du-Roi, a famous training ground for surgeons" (Garrison & Morton).
