Dutch ed. of the "Institutiones medicae" (1st ed. Leiden, 1708), some kind of bundling of a series of lessons at the University of Leiden by the Dutch physician and botanist Boerhaave (1668-1738). He stressed the anatomically research conceived on sense experiences and scientific experiments. For a long time his work functioned as a standard work within the medical field. Ill. with one engraving depicting a medical faculty.
