Cont. calf, spine raised on 7 bands (rubbed, sm. scratches, sm. def. at head., sm. def. to joints).
Astrological almanac with observations and predictions of the Zodiac by the Bolognese astronomer and cartographer Magini (1555-1617). In 1588 he was chosen over Galileo Galilei to occupy the chair of mathematics at the University of Bologna, where he corresponded with Tycho Brahe, Clavius, Abraham Ortelius, and Johann Kepler.
