First edition of this collection of observations made during 4 years at the Osservatorio astrofisico di Torino. The astronomer Plana (1781-1864) was Director of the Osservatorio and is one of the premier Italian scientists of his age. A crater on the Moon is named in his honour. Ref. Not in Wheeler, Ferguson.
