5 parts in 1 vol, 4to: [6]-131-[1], 28, 149, [1]-152 ff.; [16]-311 pp. (some minor wormholes, minor dampstaining, flyleaves renewed).

Cont. calf, spine raised on 7 bands (rubbed, sm. scratches, sm. def. at head., sm. def. to joints).

Astrological almanac with observations and predictions of the Zodiac by the Bolognese astronomer and cartographer Magini (1555-1617). In 1588 he was chosen over Galileo Galilei to occupy the chair of mathematics at the University of Bologna, where he corresponded with Tycho Brahe, Clavius, Abraham Ortelius, and Johann Kepler. Ill. 8 engravings with celestial figures and various numerological diagrams. Printer's mark at title and endleaf. Ref. Riccadri I:2:68. - Not in USTC.
