Hinged at upper edge.
Elaborate map, with an insular California, engraved by J. Baptist after Jan Goeree. Large decorative title cartouche with a victorious native woman holding a bow high and a cannibalistic feast in the background. Only 1 publication known: "Le Nouveau Théâtre du Monde ou La Geographie Royale" in 1713. Verso blank.
