Egan (1772-1849), British journalist, sportswriter and writer on popular culture, by others ascribed as an imitation of Egan's "Life in London". Illustrated with 32 full-page coloured engr. plates (incl. 2 front. and 2 titles, 2 not listed) by H.T. Alken (1794-1851), R. Dighton (1795-1880) and C. Heath (1785-1848).
