8vo: [2]-viii-386 [=384]-[2] pp. (light marg. soiling on first and last ff.).

Contemp. mottled sheep, spine with raised bands (head missing, joints rubbed, corners sl. bumped).

Satirical chronicle of the revolutionary years 1789-1791 in the Southern Netherlands, presently ascribed to the Ghent physician Vervier (1750-1817) and his friends Charles-Louis Diericx and Bernard Coppens. The work was forbidden by the Council of Flanders on December 3rd 1791. Ill. with woodcut front. and numerous crude woodcuts in-text. Title in red and black.
