First edition of the English translation by L. Dutens (1st French ed., Paris, 1754: "Manière de rendre toutes sortes d'édifices incombustibles, ou Traité sur la construction des voûtes [...]"). The Count d'Espié (1708-1792) intended to securise urban architecture with this invention. Complete with 2 fold. pl. showing cross-sections of buildings.
