Mod. gold-tooled calf "à l’antique" by Michel Fassin (Barchon), covers with gilt double ruled border and corner pieces, gilt spine on 5 raised bands, in slipcase. Very good copy.
Dutch trsl. of an interesting travel and pilgrimage account (1st Latin 1619) by the Utrecht lawyer and priest Jan van Co(o)twyck (d. 1629), based on his trip from August 1598 to May 1599. The book has some scientific interest and also deals with politics, i.a. the Venetian maritime trade and power. Ill. with 10 full-page and 50 half-page engravings (maps, views etc.).
