Very rare first edition and sequal to "De man in de vier tijdperken zijns levens" but complete in itself. Didactic work by the Dutch patriotic poet, novelist and publisher A. Loosjes (1761-1818), not primarily intended as anti-French writing, but strongly peppered with Dutch standards and values. Ill. with an engr. allegorical vign. on title by Vinkeles and 4 full-page pl. presenting "het meisje", "de maagd", "de huismoeder" and "de bejaarde vrouw", all by Vinkeles.
