First edition of this rare travel account of 3 journeys by Mercedarian friars (Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy) for the redemption of Christian captives in Morocco, dedicated to the bishops of Bretagne, anonymously written upon return to France. Detailing both the mission as well as their travels, this book gives a curious insight in 18th-c. Spain and Morocco. It concludes with a list of "esclaves rachetez".
