Lge folio: 93 maps (dedication to de Bracamonte and 2 letterpress titles - Roermond and Cambrésis - not present, map n. 55 - Watten - bound before map n. 54, front flyleaf and corner of title wrinkled, marg. tear in text f. of Brussels, some pl. partly detached from hinges, few sm. spots, mostly marg., clear damp stain in upper right corner in middle part).
Contemp. overl. ivory vellum, gilt-decorated cover with central medallion, flat spine (sl. rubbed and sl. soiled).
Second vol. of the second Latin ed., published the same year as the first one, of Blaeu's town atlas, dedicated to the Southern or Spanish Netherlands in its geopolitical situation before the Treaty of Münster (1648) which divided the Northern and Southern provinces. Complete with 93 bird's-eye well-detailed and picturesque views and plans of towns and villages (and some monuments) situated in Brabant, Limburg, Luxembourg, Flanders, Artois, Hainaut, Namur, Mechelen, Roermond quarter, Cambrai, Liège and Aachen.
