Cont. blind-stamped calf over wood, covers with lozenge-shaped central decoration of triple rules within rectangular frames, roll-stamps and sm. circular (wheels) and lozenge-shaped (unicorns) stamps, spine on 4 raised bands, metal catches, vellum title-label on front cover, metal piece nailed on top of lower cover (a former chained binding) (rubbed, spine partly dam., clasps gone). Very good wide-margined copy.

2nd ed. (1st 1468) of this moral theological treatise by the Italian Dominican Antoninus of Florence (1389-1459). Printed in gothic type. Rubricated throughout, often with extensions into inner margin. Rubricated manuscript sheet signatures at bottom edge (many still visible). Ref.
