1st ed. of J. Cassini's Tables, originally intended as a complement to his "Elémens d’astronomie" (Paris, 1740). J. Cassini measured in 1713 the arc of the meridian from Dunkirk to Perpignan and published the first tables of the satellites of Saturn in 1716. With the finely engraved headpiece by H.S. Thomassin (1688-1741). Incl. the 1756 addition to the tables by C.-Fr. Cassini de Thury.
