Illustrated with a frontispiece showing the environment of the Cape of Good Hope, a large fold. map of the Cape, "Contenant les noms et la position des lieux habités tant par les colons Hollandais que par les Hottentots", and 15 plates (of which. 2 fold.) showing local artifacts and fauna. With at the end of vol. II, vocabularies of Hottentot and Kaffir languages.
