The etchings in this lot consist of The card-player, after Frans van Mieris; the lady by the lamp, after Caspar Netscher; a shepherd and shepherdess, after Nicolaes Berchem; A village view, after Gerbrandt van Eeckhout; The fish market, after Jan van Goyen; a landscape, after Jan Lievens (by Jurriaan Cootwijk); The Supper of Emmaeus, after Rembrandt (by Jacobus Buys); a man receiving a letter, after Jan Steen; the pig-slaughter, after Jan Saenredam. All from a series of 105 facsimiles published by Christian Josi as a continuation of Ploos van Amstel's publications.
