New enlarged and corrected edition of "Histoire de Guillaume I. prince d'Orange" (1st ed.: 1689). Engr. ill.: front. and 7 portraits of princes of Orange incl. portr. of Queen Mary, wife of William III of Orange.

Bound with: [Simon, Richard] - Histoire de l'origine et du progrès des revenus écclésiastiques. Frankfurt, F. Arnaud, 1584 [= 1684]. 12vo: [4]-346-[9] pp. Written under the pseudonym Jérôme à Costa, R. Simon was a distinguished orientalist and biblical critic whose work was according to Voltaire read by all scholars. Also, this history of ecclesiastical revenues was on the Index of Prohibited Books (1948), which is probably the reason why it was bound after the former. Ref. BnF.
