Bound with: [Simon, Richard] - Histoire de l'origine et du progrès des revenus écclésiastiques. Frankfurt, F. Arnaud, 1584 [= 1684]. 12vo: [4]-346-[9] pp. Written under the pseudonym Jérôme à Costa, R. Simon was a distinguished orientalist and biblical critic whose work was according to Voltaire read by all scholars. Also, this history of ecclesiastical revenues was on the Index of Prohibited Books (1948), which is probably the reason why it was bound after the former. Ref. BnF.
