Contemp. calf, triple ruled fillets on covers, gilt orn. spines with 7 raised bands, red edges, marbled endpapers (upper joint vol. 1 splitting, cover, corners and spines sl. bumped). Good copy.

Second edition of this topographical work, profusely illustrated with large views of abbeys and monasteries. This ed. is particularly interesting from a topographical viewpoint because of some renovations to the buildings since the 1st ed.
