Contemp. vellum, flat spine titled in ink (loosening at end, tail def.). Good copy.

Rare 1st ed. of the Latin translation of the work of the French theologian Blondel (1590-1655) on Pope Joan in which he denounces the fact that this is a pure myth. Includes Greek quotes and chronological tables.
