First edition of the translation by an anonymous writer of "The History of Health" (1st ed.: 1758; 2nd ed.: 1759) by the Scottish physician Mackenzie (1680?-1761). The first part is a history of medicine based on ancient and modern authors; the second part contains health advice relating to the "tempéraments", stages of life, etc.
