Fine collection of German Renaissance woodcuts, mostly book-illustrations. Including 2 hand-coloured bible illustrations by Michael Wohlgemuth; 2 contemp. hand-coloured woodcuts from German incunable; 4 woodcuts by Gottfried Liegel illustrating "Das new Testament nun wiederumb zu recht gebracht", printed in Augsburg by Hans Emscher in 1528; a woodcut by Christoffel van Sichem; 5 small (ca. 4,5 x 7 cm) woodcuts from an unidentified Italian bible; Zodiac signs for astrological work representing Sagittarius and Cancer.
