19th-c. vellum (sl. soiled), flat spine, mod. gauffered edges, new endpapers.
First Plantin edition of the rare fourth and fifth volume of the 12-volume Plantin ed. of this popular chivalric novel, which also exists with the address of J. van Waesberghen. Illustrated with 7 and 8 woodcuts in text, mostly representing fighting soldiers. Woodcut mark on titles. Printed in 2 col.
