Contemp. vellum, flat spine titled in ink (sl. loosening). Good copy.
Collection of humanistic and erotic stories in Latin verse or prose. In verse: the Bavarian humanist son of a cook V. Obsopeus (fl. 1528-1548) on the art of drinking without getting drunk, and Matthaeus Delio (fl. 1523-1544) "De arte jocandi" (on joking); in prose: the famous story "Historia Euriali & Lucretiae" (The Tale of Two Lovers) by Aeneas Sylvius Piccolomini (1405-1464, Pope Pius II), and an essay by the Italian humanist Filippo Beroaldo (1453-1505); in macaronic verse: "Ad suos compagnones studiantes" on dancing, by the French lawyer Antonius Arena (1500-1544).
