Compl. with an engr. title with coat-of-arms of Anna Colonna Barberini (dedicatee), an allegorical frontisp. (bound before p. 1) and 45 full-page pl. by Berrettini da Cortona, Guido Reni, A. Sacchi, J.F. Greuter, Cl. Mellan and Anna Maria Vaiana (flower basket - p. 421) often in a typical baroque style illustrating famous gardens "all'italiana", special flower or floral compositions, labyrinths, garden tools beribboned and placed on pedestals, etc. Ref.
