Mounted in a brass meridian ring, engr. on 1 side, and a horizon ring covered with printed paper figuring a zodiacal grid, supported by a black painted cast-iron decorative tripod stand, terminating in lion's paw feet, making the overall height c. 56,5 cm (paper on horizon ring heavily soiled with some losses).

The equatorial graduated in degrees and hours, the ecliptic showing the houses of the Zodiac.
