Hinged at upper edge.
Splendid double hemisphere map with an insular California and an incomplete representation of Australia. The decorative border depicts the different continents represented by female figures at the bottom and the 4 elements symbolized at the top. With 2 elegant cartouches and multiple putti holding a banderol. Only 1 publication known: "Le Nouveau Théâtre du Monde ou La Geographie Royale" in 1713. Verso blank.
