16mo: 804-[23] pp. (somewhat short occ. shaving printed marginalia, toned and spotted, 2nd half dampstained, title fore-edge and margins of final f. frayed, hole in bottom of Z7-8 with loss of a few letters).

Old sheep, gilt flat spine with morocco label, red edges, decorative endpapers (rubbed, tail def.). Good copy.

Reprint of the Latin translation (1st 1549) by Johann Winter of Andernach (1505-1574) of the main work of the Byzantine physician Alexander of Tralles (525-605), first publ. in Greek in 1548. Woodcut mark on title. Printed in italics.
