Second edition of this work (co-shared between Mestayer, Chesneaux, Sonnius, La Nouë (BnF)), but increased by 5 books since its publication in 1555. Rabutin (d. in 1582), grandfather of the famous Bussy-Rabutin and member from one of the oldest families in Charolais, took an active part in the wars against the Spanish and the Protestants. His memoirs remain interesting.
