Contemp. polished calf over wooden boards, covers ruled by blindstamped double fillet, inner fillet with hunting motive (dog, dear, boar), mod. title etiq. on spines with raised bands, brass cornerpieces, two decorated brass clasps and catches on each vol. (some sm. scratches on boards, sm. piece missing on back cover vol. 1, min. def. at heads and tails).

Third edition (1st 1660) of this large work on theology by the Franciscan theologian Herincx (1621-1678), lecturer at the university of Leuven, who became Bishop of Ypres in 1677. Ill. with an engr. title by Cornelius Galle after Erasmus Quellinus and a large engr. title-vignette on all main titles by Petrus Clouwet after Abraham van Diepenbeke.
