Later mottled calf, gilt-orn. spine with raised bands, endpapers renewed (sl. rubbed, some min. def.).

Second edition of the great Dutch botanical encyclopedia of Dodoens (1518-1585), 1st publ. 1554. Title within elaborate woodcut border, with "Cruijdeboeck" in xylographic letters. Ill. with 841 woodcuts of plants by Pieter vander Borcht & Antoon Bosch.
