Holy Family with St Anna and an angel.

Engraving, 23,5 x 13,3 cm, laid paper, text in lower margin: "IESVS. MARIA. ANNA." (laid down on wove paper, possibly address cut at bottom, few brown stains).

Good impression.

Rare unknown copy after the often-copied engraving by Aegidius Sadeler from ca. 1600 after a painting by Hans von Aachen (cf. New Hollstein German (Hans von Aachen) 37). This anonymous print by a German or Flemish engraver has only one angel (instead of two) and the Holy Spirit added in the clouds above.
