Collection of 43 nice costume drawings and portraits by the Ghent artist Emile De Rudder (1822-1874), made as a souvenir of the party given by Mme Larcher. The people present, members from the Ghent bourgeoisie, were all dressed in historical or fancy costume. These dresses were skillfully drawn and coloured by De Rudder. Very interesting album, for many of the participants this album will be the only source of their portraits, adding documentary to artistic value. Pl. 9 is a self-portrait of De Rudder. Some names: Coppens, Levison, Bosschaert, Antheunis, Rosseel, Mussche, De Pauw, De Buck, Metdepenningen etc.
