1st ed. by Napoléon Chaix (1807-1865), publisher of the first public transport timetable in 1846 France, hence called "Le Chaix" in memory of its author. In an attempt to find an audience in the train-reading market he published, some years later, this "Guide-Chaix" as a travel guide. With 1 folding itinerary map and 11 lithographs (as according the table of contents).
