Third edition (first 1749) by Quesnay (1694-1774), French physician and doctor to Madame de Pompadour. Dedicated to the Comte de Noailles, the work investigates purulent suppuration, which Quesnay viewed as a positive occurrence as it leads to tissue regeneration.
