Lot description
Engr., 47 x 48 cm (some repairs esp. to folds, margins strengthened, a couple of tears repaired, some minor spotting).
Very rare and lavish copper engraving (view and plan) with an explanatory text relating to the battle of "het Slaak", where the Spanish fleet was defeated by the Dutch admiral Marinus Hollare. German copy of the engr. by Claes Janss. Visscher. Text in gothic type.
