2 obl. 4to albums with decorative Persian styled boards and leather spines with robe.

Travel albums documenting the diplomatic missions of Antoine Mouchet Battefort de Laubespin (15899-1979) in Iran. Photos of ancient monuments, ancient cities, archaeological excavations, ruins, piramids, diplomatic visits, dignitaries, a ski trip, a mountain picnic (in the snow), mosques (Shah Mosque, Isfahan), guided tours, tourist trips, feasts, official diners, a camp in the countryside, a golf session, opium pipe smoking, Iranian people, a.o. the last Shah of the Imperial State of Iran, Mohammad Reza Shah, and other people associated with the diplomatic missions, market scenes, vendors, street scenes, minarets, etc. Antoine de Laubespin was Chief of Protocol at the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Some names mentioned in the legends: Amir Moaied, Furuzan Selcuk, Raymond de Ste Suzanne, Alain de Belle, etc.
