Oil and gouache on paper, 19 x 38,5 cm, signed and dated at bottom left "Visser 1845".
Under passe-partout.
Lively battle scene with, in the background on the right, the silhouette of a city. Signed as Visser in the corner, possibly identifiable with the Dutch history painter Pier Johannes de Visser (1764-1848).
