Contemp. sheep, gilt-orn. spines with raised bands, gilt sides (sl. rubbed, some sm. scratches, sm. def. at heads & tails). Good copy.
First edition of this work by de Limiers (d. 1728), divided in 3 parts (historic, genealogical and numismatic). Engr. ill.: allegorical front. with medallion portrait of a young Louis XV by B. Picart, 3 sm. ill. on titles, 7 large genealogical fold. tables and 63 full-page pl. with sm. views of castles and monuments (i.a. Villers-Cotterêts, Versailles and its gardens, Chantilly, Notre-Dame de Paris, Galerie du Louvre, Palais des Tuileries, Sainte Chapelle, Reims Cathedral), historical scenes, maps and plans of fortified cities (in France, Flanders, the Netherlands and the colonies), all within numismatical frames.
