Lot description

11 engravings, ca. 21,2 x 28,8 cm, laid paper, signed at bottom: "Petrus Stephanus / Inventor", Latin title at bottom centre, Latin text in lower margin (some stains, sl. browned).

Later impressions with wide margins. Mounted at left edges, bound in mod. pink paper simili leather (discoloured).

11 prints (without title plate, May) from the "Twelve Months" after Pieter Stevens (ca. 1567-1626). The engraver Aegidius Sadeler II (1568-1629) and the date 1607 are mentioned on the title plate. Unknown 3rd state with the address of Marcus Sadeler (ca. 1614-1650) removed.
