First edition of the Dutch translation by J. Visser (1724-1804) of Meermans' (1722-1771) "Origines typographicae". The second part contains the first incunable catalogue of the Low Countries ever printed, with 600 titles. Ill. with a portrait of Laurens Janszoon Coster, regarded by some in the Netherlands as having invented printing first.
