Cont. green morocco, gilt dentelle borders and central amorous emblem on covers, gilt orn. flat spine, gilt orn. edges, pink tabis inner covers with small mirror inserted at top and wallet at bottom, a.e.g., housed in a richly gilt red morocco cigar case with central oval green morocco inlaid (corners sl. rubbed), complete with the pencil. Very nice copy.

Precious pocket calendar, a fashionable must at the end of the 18th c. Contains 12 printed 6-lines poems ("Le Portugais jaloux", "L'Espagnole constante", "Le gaillard Lapon", "Le Russe soumis", "L'Angloise exigeante"...) and an engraved calendar, each month with a delightful vignette at head illustrating one of the texts, with appropriate caption.
