Cont. vellum, gilt spine on 5 raised bands, blind-stamped covers with central medallion (marg. wear). Nice copy.
First edition of a historical overview written as a travelogue by the versatile wine merchant Daniel Willinks (1676-1722), completed after his death by Gerrit Schoemaker. The first vol. enriched with 39 engravings (frontisp., a portrait of Willink and 37 views), the second vol. with 33 engravings (frontisp. and 32 views) and a family tree of the lords of Amstel.
