Ptolomaic map of the world figuring only 3 continents (Africa, Europe and Asia) from Munster's "Geographia universalis [...]" after the Greek mathematician and astronomer Claudius Ptolemy (c. 100-170). Large ornamental border with 12 windheads. Latin title ("Descriptio orbis generalis [...]") in woodcut border on verso.
