Oval woodcut after Ortelius in the later issues of Münster's "Cosmographia". Within ornamental border incorporating 12 wind heads with their names in banners. In the oceans are depicted wales & sea monsters. The engraver David Kandel's initials "DK" in lower left corner. German title in a Gothic font ("Die erst general oder gemein Tafel [...]") in woodcut border on verso.
