Lot description
Paper, c. 34,5 x 22 cm: 103-[450] pp., professionally written within ruled borders, and with a number of marginal additions (toned, hole in f. 1 with loss of a few letters). Good condition.
Contemp. blind-ruled overl. vellum, flat spine.
17th-c. copy of the privileges and local legislation of Ghent, with lists of "scepenen vande kuere / vanden ghedeele" for the years 1301-1631 (pp. 6-52 ff.). Later addition (dated "22 april 1706") on last p., and 1 loosely inserted document dated "1665".
Prov. Contemp. ms. entry on final p. (deleted): "Desen boeck behoort toe Joannes d’hane [...]/ [...] sebastiaen woonende in de prochie van/ [...] desen ije Januari 1673". - Vicomte Vilain XIIII (armorial bookpl.). - Comte Vilain XIIII (collector’s ticket).
