Lot description
Woodcuts, c. 12,7 x 9,7 cm, laid paper, signed "AD", 1 with Italian letterpress text on verso, 1 with Latin letterpress text on verso (trimmed on or outside blockline, few sm. light stains, few sm. holes, few spots of thin paper, traces of former mount and ms. notes on verso).
3 excellent impressions, 2 from sl. worn blocks. Good condition.
Nice set from Dürer's famous series incl. Christ taking leave of his mother, Christ before Caiaphas, Christ crowned with thorns, Christ in Emmaus and The doubting Thomas. The letterpress texts confirm that these impressions are from early editions (Latin 1511, Italian 1612).
