Woodcut, partially hand-coloured, 29,5 x 21,0 cm, laid paper with watermark (fish bladder with IM and star, Meder 309, c. 1580), signed "AD" (trimmed outside blockline, few sm. thin spots, sm. hole).

Good impression and condition. Hinged at upper edge and framed (studied outside frame).

Large woodcut with the marriage of Mary and Joseph from "The life of the Virgin". Good impression with a few cracks in the blockline. The watermark is documented by Meder and confirms this is a 16th-c. impression.
