Contemp. marbled calf, gilt-orn. spine with raised bands (some rubbing, front joint split and lower one partly, numerous notes in pencil on flyleaves).

Second edition of this rare heraldic work on the Order of the Golden Fleece by the heraldist J.-B. Maurice. Illustrated with an engr. title by Cottin after Erasmus Quellin, 1 pl. showing the heraldic colours and crowns and +/- 450 half-page coats of arms.
